The Faculty of Business and Economics Universitas Sebelas Maret (FEB UNS) welcome the Archive Management staff from Universitas Sam Ratulangi (UNSRAT) Manado, which consist of Prof.John S. Kekenusa (the Head of Archive Management) and Gleyvi G. Mamesah, SE. (Operator of Archive Management UNSRAT), on Thursday, September 10^th, 2019. The visit was welcomed by the Head of Administration FEB UNS, Dra. Eny Widayati, together with the Head of UNS Archive Management.

Prof. John S. Kekenusa, express their wish to know the Standard Operation and Procedures (SOP) of the archival unit and the management of electronic archives in UNS, because the archival unit in UNS considered as having a better archival management. On this opportunity, Nike Sri Sunarni, S.Mn, the archivist of FEB UNS explains the SOP of archive management in FEB UNS to the UNSRAT team, while inviting them to take a look on the archives stored in archival room in FEB UNS. She further explains that the archive management in FEB UNS as Unit II of UNS Archival is more optimal and professional. The archivist is responsible in the management of inactive archives. The archivist also responsible for transferring archive from work units or sub-sections in FEB, in accordance with procedure of archive transfer.

“The received archives, later, is categorized and stored manually (for the hard file). Gradually the archives are scanned and then they were uploaded to the archival service application. The archive management in FEB UNS is online, which is the first in UNS,” she explains.

Nike also shows the gallery of FEB UNS establishment in 1978 and the development of all 5 buildings in FEB UNS. The UNSRAT team is impressed by the archive management in FEB UNS, especially the storage of old archives in the form of textual administration books.
