Internal Archival Supervision 2026: FEB UNS Welcomes Visit from UNS Archival Technical Service Unit
Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), welcomed a visit from the Archival Technical Service Unit (UPT) Team for the 2026 Internal Archival Supervision at UNS on Thursday, April 30, 2026. The UNS Archival UPT Team was welcomed by the Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs, the Head of Administration, Sub-Department Heads, archivists, and archival processors at the Fiscal Corner Room, FEB UNS.
In his opening remarks, the Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs of FEB UNS, Sutaryo, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA., CRA., CRP., ACPA, emphasized the importance of meeting archival standards on an ongoing basis. He stated that records management is no longer merely the domain of a specific competence, but has become a shared responsibility that must be fulfilled systematically. “Archives are no longer just the domain of a specific competence, but they must indeed be fulfilled. If there are still deficiencies, they must be completed immediately to comply with the established standards,” he expressed.
Furthermore, he affirmed the commitment of FEB UNS to support the strengthening of archival governance as part of the institution’s contribution to the university. “In principle, we welcome the presence of the team. This is not only for the interest of the faculty, but also for the university. Whatever we can contribute, we are ready to facilitate,” he added.
Sutaryo also encouraged all related units to continuously monitor and complete archival requirements, including seeking policy support at the university level if necessary. He emphasized that optimization must still be carried out despite time constraints.
Meanwhile, Yani Maryudiasti, S.Sos., M.Si., the Head of the Archival UPT, stated that this activity is a follow-up to the 2026 Annual Archival Supervision Work Program (PKPKT). This program aims to ensure that the implementation of archival policies runs in accordance with applicable principles, rules, and standards, while simultaneously establishing orderly records management within the university environment.
She further noted that during its execution, the archival review was conducted after the presentation of review results by the Archival UPT Team regarding the forms (State University ASKI instruments) that had previously been completed and submitted by the FEB UNS archivists. Based on these review results, the team then conducted field verification through direct inspection of academic and non-academic records management at the processing units, which include the Academic Sub-Department and the Non-Academic Sub-Department.
Additionally, inspections were carried out at the Archival Unit II (UK II), including random sampling of active and inactive records storage rooms, to ensure alignment between the data in the forms and the actual conditions in the field, as well as fulfillment of applicable archival standards.
Through this activity, archival governance at FEB UNS is hopefully going to become more orderly, systematic, and accountable, thereby supporting transparency and administrative effectiveness within the university. This archival supervision initiative aligns with efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), which highlights the importance of strong, transparent, and accountable institutions. Proper records management serves as a foundation for supporting professional and high-integrity organizational governance.
