The Head of the Integrated Information Technology Laboratory, Mulyadi, S.E., M.Ec.Dev., Ph.D., MCE, expressed in his opening remarks that this activity represents part of the efforts to broaden students’ insights regarding the industrial world and career opportunities within the economics and finance sectors.

Carrying the theme “Working at a Central Bank: Roles, Competencies, and Career Preparation for University Students”, the event featured Djihan Islahiyah, S.E., a Junior Economist at Bank Indonesia, as the keynote speaker. In her presentation, Djihan explained the strategic role of a central bank in maintaining national economic stability through monetary policy, financial system stability, and payment system management.

Some of these include strong economic analytical capabilities, an understanding of data and global economic dynamics, critical thinking skills, and good communication skills. Furthermore, students were encouraged to actively develop their self-capacity through organizational experiences, research, and academic activities relevant to the economics and finance fields.

The International Industry Talk was attended by students from various higher education institutions, both local and international. Aside from participants from UNS, the event was also attended by students from BINUS University, CamEd Business School, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak, Universitas Sintuwu Maroso (UNOSO), and Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN).
