Another extraordinary achievement was again made by a lecturer of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). Catur Sugiarto, S.E., M.SM., M.Rech., Ph.D., CDMP., who currently also serves as Head of Business Incubator UNS Innovation Hub, was appointed as the Chairman of the Indonesian Business Incubator Association (AIBI) for the period 2023-2027.

The assignment was handed over symbolically by Prof. Hadi K. Purwadaria the Founder of AIBI, through a short procession in the opening of the ISSIE 2023 International Seminar and AIBI 2023 Annual Congress, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at de Tjolomadoe, Karanganyar.

In his short speech, Dr. Catur expresses his gratitude to the participants who have been attending the ISSIE agenda and AIBI annual congress. He also expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in the elected officials for the period 2023-2027. “Thank you for the trust shown in us as the managing committee of AIBI, an organization that has been established since 1995. I would like to invite all AIBI members and administrators to keep on developing the nation and state through innovation. Let’s welcome new ideas and constructive challenges. Let’s continue to build AIBI into a great association and steer us into a bright future.”

Other than Dr. Catur, Dr. Harry (Kiwi) Aliwarga, currently CEO and Founder of UMG Idealab, was also appointed as the AIBI Secretary General.

The ISSIE and AIBI Annual Congress presented two keynote speakers and three invited speakers. The hybrid event held in De Tjolomadoe Karanganyar, which is also available through Zoom Cloud Meeting and Youtube Live Streaming, was attended by more than 300 participants both online and on-site. Attendees consisted of AIBI boards and members, startup entrepreneurs, business incubators, entrepreneurship observers, students, and the general public.
