Digital Business Study Program FEB UNS: Highest Student Competitiveness Ratio Within One Year of Establishment
The Bachelor of Digital Business Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), achieved the highest Student Competitiveness Ratio at 1:73 in UNS. This ranking is followed by the Communication Studies Study Program with 1:42 and Management Study Program with a 1:39 Student Competitiveness Ratio. The recent ranking was based on UNS New Student Admission Selection Office (SPMB) data for the 2023 Test-Based National Selection (SNBT).
The Digital Business Study Program celebrated its first anniversary on May 27, 2023, but the demand to get enrolled in the study program keeps increasing based on the last two batches of new student admissions. In the study program’s first year of new student admissions in 2022, even though the program was only available on UNS Independent Selection Scheme, the interest was already very high.
For this achievement, the Head of the Digital Business Study Program, who also served as Plt. (acting officer) for the Vice Dean for Planning, Business, Partnership, and Information Affairs, Tastaftiyan Risfandy, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., said that this achievement was beyond expectations.
“Regarding the Student Competitiveness Ratio, we are actually targeting to be the top 5 in the Social-Humanities field, and alhamdulillah, yesterday, it was announced that we are in the top 3 ranking in the Social-Humanities group for the SNBP scheme. This is unexpected, alhamdulillah, we also get the highest Student Competitiveness Ratio in UNS for the SNBT scheme. This achievement is thanks to the hard work of the study program team in conducting the digital promotion and establishing a partnership with external parties. We have been promoting the program on Twitter, Instagram, influencers, and many other channels for the past year.”
Meanwhile, Athaya, a student of the Digital Business Study Program, expressed his impressions during his time as the first batch student of the Digital Business Study Program.
Based on his experience in the teaching and learning activities during these two semesters, the Study Program provides very useful knowledge. According to him the lecturers are visionary and delivered excellent and extensive insight into both the academic and non-academic world.
“In addition to the visionary lecturers, the curriculum in the Digital Business Study Program become one of my considerations in choosing this study program. The curriculum offered is aligned with the demands of today’s era. When the world is full of digitalization in all aspects, the Digital Business Study Program offers this,” he said.
In addition to attending lectures by in-house faculty members, students also participate in various programs organized by study programs, including lectures delivered by off-campus practitioners to expand students’ knowledge of digital business.
