Finalizing Business Accreditation, FEB UNS Strengthens Preparation for AACSB International Accreditation
The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FEB UNS), continues to demonstrate its commitment to achieving global education standards through the international accreditation process of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). As part of this effort, FEB UNS held the Finalization of Business Accreditation (BuA) AACSB on Friday, 26 September 2025, at the Mangkunegara Lounge, UNS Inn.
The event was attended by the entire Dean Office team, including Prof. Bhimo Rizky Samudro, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. (Dean of FEB UNS); Prof. Tri Mulyaningsih, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. (Vice Dean for Academic and Research Affairs and Chair of AACSB); Tastaftiyan Risfandy, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs); and Sutaryo, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA., CRA., CRP., ACPA. (Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs). Also present was the AACSB taskforce team, which plays a key role in preparing the accreditation documents.
During the event, the leadership team provided strategic directions for finalizing the Business Accreditation (BuA) documents, a critical component in meeting AACSB quality criteria. They emphasized the importance of maintaining consistency between academic practices, supporting data, and faculty achievements to align with international standards.
The session continued with a presentation by Putra Pamungkas, S.E., M.Rech., Ph.D., who outlined the progress and refinement of the AACSB BuA documents.
Before reaching this stage, the AACSB team of FEB UNS had undertaken a series of intensive preparations, including Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with experts from both domestic and international universities that have received AACSB accreditation. These activities deepened the team’s understanding of global accreditation standards and their implementation. Additionally, regular internal discussions with the Dean Office and the taskforce team have been carried out to align strategies, performance indicators, and the development of supporting materials for the accreditation process.
FEB UNS’s commitment to this process aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by improving the quality and relevance of higher education, and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by developing excellent and globally competitive human resources.
