The Center for Research and Community Engagement Development (P4M), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), in collaboration with the Fintech Center UNS, held a Data Training with Refinitiv LSEG on Tuesday, 18 February 2025. The training took place at the Coordination Room, Soeharno TS Building, and was attended by FEB UNS faculty members and students.

The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is a leading global provider of financial market infrastructure and data services. LSEG integrates financial data and technology solutions through its platforms, offering market data, analytics, trading tools, and solutions for investment and risk management. Refinitiv, formerly known as Thomson Reuters, is a subsidiary of LSEG and plays a central role in delivering comprehensive data and technology services to the financial sector.

Refinitiv LSEG focuses on providing in-depth information, analytics, and tools used by investors, banks, financial institutions, and global market professionals. Through this training, participants were introduced to the use of Refinitiv Workspace, a platform designed to access a wide range of financial and non-financial data.

Dila Maghrifani, S.E., B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., Head of P4M FEB UNS, expressed that the training aimed to equip participants with the skills to retrieve and analyse both financial and non-financial data accurately and efficiently.

During the session, the Refinitiv team conducted a tutorial on how to navigate the Workspace platform to obtain financial datasets. Participants were also guided on how to download real-time and historical data using the Workspace Excel add-in, enhancing their data literacy and practical research capabilities.
