Collaboration between FEB Students and KAFEB UNS: Eid Adha Celebration in Wonosari, Klaten
Students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) successfully organized a sacrificial event to celebrate the Eid Adha festivities at the Musholla in Tegalgondo village, Wonosari District, Klaten, on Monday, June 17, 2024. In total, there were nine cattle (5 goats and 4 sheep) slaughtered in the event, as contributed by FEB students and FEB alumni who are part of KAFEB UNS.
This event, initiated by the Islamic Study and Practice Board (BPPI) of FEB UNS, served as a means of strengthening networking and demonstrated the active collaboration between BPPI and all student organizations (Ormawa) within FEB UNS, including the Islamic Economics Study Group (KEI), which played a key role in this sacrificial event.
Muhammad Ali Almahdi, the chairperson of the FEB Sacrifice Collaboration event, stated that this sacrificial event was a collaborative effort by the FEB community to seek the blessing from Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta’ala and to show BPPI’s openness to active collaboration with all Ormawa in FEB UNS.
“Alhamdulillah, for this year’s FEB sacrificial event, we have nine cattle, consisting of five goats and four sheep. May this event strengthen the bonds between BPPI and all Ormawa and KAFEB UNS, fostering greater collaboration,” he said.
Sharing the same sentiment, Fathir Fikro, the BPPI Chairperson and Steering Committee member for the event, noted that this was evidence of FEB’s community’s growing engagement in spiritually-based activities.
He mentioned that this year’s sacrificial event marked significant progress, as the majority of the animals sacrificed were contributed by FEB students themselves, rather than external parties. “We can see that out of the nine sacrificial animals entrusted to us, five were donated by FEB students who are prepared financially to participate in this event with us. In the previous years, all the sacrificial animals were donated by alumni. This is a notable advancement, as this has never happened before in BPPI’s history, as far as I know,” he explained.
This year’s sacrificial event was also made possible through the collaboration between KEI and KAFEB. KEI Chairperson Luqyanna Danisya shared that this was her first time participating in a sacrificial event at FEB.
“This is my first time participating in a sacrificial event while away from home. Being part of this event has given me many new experiences, opportunities to interact with the community, and a sense of joy amidst the busy Final Semester Examinations (UAS) at campus. I hope this event can go on to the next year and bring more benefits,” she said.
Lastly, thanks to the support of KAFEB UNS, which has been actively taking part in a series of activities within FEB UNS, this event was executed flawlessly.
