Sarasehan and Welcoming Ceremony for Three New Professors at FEB UNS: Dean Office Seeks Support and Prayers

The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), held a Sarasehan and welcoming ceremony for its three newly appointed Professors on Tuesday, 17 December 2024, at Suhardi Hall, FEB UNS. The three professors who were officially inaugurated by the Rector on the same day are Prof. Dra. Y. Anni Aryani, M.Prof.Acc., Ph.D., Ak., Prof. Tri Mulyaningsih, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Suryanto, S.E., M.Si.

The Dean Office invited all faculty members, academic support staff, Head of Student Organization (Ormawa), Dharma Wanita representatives, and retired lecturers of FEB UNS to attend the event, which was arranged in a warm and familial atmosphere.

In his remarks, the Dean of FEB UNS, Bhimo Rizky Samudro, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed his sincere gratitude to all guests in attendance and highlighted the informal nature of the event intended to strengthen internal ties.

“This Sarasehan is a moment for me personally and for the Dean Office to humbly seek your blessing. We come with good intentions to continue improving FEB, which has already made excellent progress. With respect to our predecessors, we would like to share several points on what we aim to pursue over the next four to five years to advance the faculty. We kindly ask for your prayers and support,” said the Dean.

The Dean also introduced the new official tagline of FEB UNS: Berfikir Bijak, Santun, Berkarya (Think Wisely, Act Gracefully, Contribute Meaningfully). He acknowledged that each leadership period brings its own unique style but emphasized that the common goal remains the same: the continuous advancement of FEB.

He welcomed feedback from all members of the academic community and reiterated his openness to constructive suggestions. The Dean also extended his appreciation to the three newly inaugurated professors, expressing hope that their dedication and achievement would serve as an inspiration to other faculty members.

During the Sarasehan, attendees were given the opportunity to offer guidance and input to the Dean Office regarding the faculty’s future development. Some of the points raised included the need for stronger academic contributions to address national issues, improvements to facilities and staff welfare, and the importance of maintaining close relations with retired FEB members.
