FEB UNS Welcomes PT Bank HSBC Indonesia and Putera Sampoerna Foundation to Introduce HSBC Indonesia Business Case Competition 2025
Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), warmly welcomed representatives from PT Bank HSBC Indonesia and the Putera Sampoerna Foundation on Thursday, January 16, 2025. The visit focused on dissemination session to introduce the HSBC Indonesia Business Case Competition (BCC) 2025. The session took place in the Fiscal Corner Room of FEB UNS.
Opening the event, Dr. Tastaftiyan Risfandy, Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni FEB UNS, emphasized the value of case-based learning in today’s academic and professional landscape. “One of our Key Performance Indicators is student achievement. Through this discussion, we hope to gain insights and cultivate a stronger desire among students to compete at a higher level,” he noted.
Representing PT Bank HSBC Indonesia, Dr. Ari Warokka from Universitas Negeri Jakarta presented the detailed framework of the HSBC Indonesia Business Case Competition 2025. Organized in collaboration with the Putera Sampoerna Foundation, this national competition invites students to take on real-world business challenges and develop strategic solutions through a simulated boardroom experience.
Aimed at undergraduate students from top universities across Indonesia—including UNS—the competition provides a platform for applying business theory in practical scenarios. It’s more than a competition; it’s a hands-on training ground to develop critical soft skills like problem-solving, analytical thinking, leadership, and persuasive communication. A total of 24 universities in Indonesia have been invited to participate, each nominating two teams of four active undergraduate students from business or economics faculties. Initial rounds, including the team selection process, will be conducted virtually via Zoom.
This initiative is part of HSBC’s commitment to nurturing Indonesia’s future business leaders, equipping them not just for national competitions, but for the global stage. Participants will have the opportunity to refine their presentations based on real-time feedback, ensuring that only the most competent teams move forward.
