Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), held an online Introduction Session on the Faculty, Study Programs, and the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) 2026 via Zoom Meeting on Saturday (August 1, 2026). The session was attended by parents/guardians and new students as part of the initial series of activities welcoming students for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

In his remarks, Dean of FEB UNS, Prof. Bhimo Rizky Samudro, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., welcomed all new students and parents who had joined the Universitas Sebelas Maret, particularly the FEB UNS. He emphasized that this occasion marked an initial step toward building collaboration among the faculty, students, and parents in supporting students’ academic development and institutional development. Prof. Bhimo explained that FEB UNS currently has five undergraduate study programs: Accounting Study Program, Management Study Program, Development Economics Study Program, Digital Business Study Program, and Islamic Finance Economics Study Program. These study programs are expected to provide students with opportunities to develop their competencies while strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders, including parents, who are encouraged to provide feedback, suggestions, and constructive criticism to improve the quality of the learning process.

On the occasion, the Dean also introduced the implementation plan for PKKMB 2026, which will be held from August 11–13, 2026, under the theme of developing an active, inclusive, humanistic, adaptive, and globally competitive generation, with the tagline “Berkolaborasi Mewujudkan Prestasi, Semar Muda Sebelas Maret Muda yang Menginspirasi (Collaborate to Accomplish Excellence, toward Semar Muda, an Inspiring Young Sebelas Maret).” The theme reflects UNS’s commitment to providing an educational and constructive introduction to campus life while supporting new students in adapting to the higher education environment.

Furthermore, Prof. Bhimo emphasized that PKKMB at FEB UNS adopts an active, inclusive, humanistic, and adaptive approach while avoiding any form of intimidation or activities that may negatively affect students’ physical and mental well-being. Through this approach, FEB UNS aims to provide a safe and comfortable environment for new students while strengthening parents’ confidence in the educational and developmental process their children will undertake at FEB UNS. Following the Dean’s introduction to the FEB UNS, the session continued with presentations by the Vice Deans covering academic, non-academic, as well as student and alumni affairs.

Participants then joined breakout rooms according to their respective study programs to receive more detailed information on academic activities, curricula, career opportunities, and other matters from the Heads of the Accounting, Management, Development Economics, Digital Business, and Islamic Finance Economics Study Programs.

The activity reflects FEB UNS’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the provision of inclusive and quality higher education, as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthened collaboration among the faculty, students, and parents in supporting successful educational outcomes.
