Hosted an International Community Service, Master in Accounting (MAKSI) Invited Three International Students from Libya
Three students of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) from Libya—Nadia Mustafa Sulayman Shenghir, Marwa Abdulgader Abdulsalam Ashaiban, and Ahlaam Jarullah Ibrahim Alshoushan—served as speakers at an international community service event held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in Karanganyar.
Initiated by the Master in Accounting Study Program (MAKSI) FEB UNS, the event featured a training session entitled “Arabian Food Training: Culinary Innovation through Arabian Food Product Diversification for Mangkubumen Culinary MSMEs.”
Over twenty members of the Mangkubumen PKK (Family Welfare Program), led by Mientansih, participated in the event. The Head of Master in Accounting Study Program, Dr. Wahyu Widarjo, S.E., M.Si., expresses his appreciation to this agenda as part of community engagement activities. According to him, this community service is an international-level event as they invited trainer/speakers from Libya.
“We are delighted and feeling hopeful that this event will be beneficial to the community, especially in Mangkubumen, to introduce them to Libyan cuisine,” he said.
The event also involves lecturers of FEB UNS, who contribute to the accomplishment of the excellent community service. The lecturers contribution through disseminating knowledge along with international partner strive to meet community’s demand. Hopefully, this event can introduce Arabian cuisines, by teaching how to cook Libyan food, to wider community members.
