
Three Professors from FEB Officially Inaugurated — A Year-End Milestone for 2024
The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) inaugurated three Professors from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), alongside professors from the Faculty of Animal Science, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, during the Open Senate Session held on Tuesday, 17 December 2024, at the G.P.H. Haryo Mataram Auditorium, UNS.
The conferment of professorships upon Prof. Dra. Y. Anni Aryani, M.Prof.Acc., Ph.D., Prof. Tri Mulyaningsih, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Suryanto, S.E., M.Si., marks a significant academic milestone for FEB UNS at the end of 2024. Their appointments are expected to further enhance the academic rigor, institutional strength, and research excellence in the faculty.
The growing number of professors within FEB plays a strategic role in fostering a productive academic atmosphere, encouraging the advancement of high-quality research, and strengthening the engagement between academia and society at large.
Prof. Anni Aryani, appointed as the 21st Professor at FEB and the 310th at UNS, was inaugurated in the field of Behavioral Accounting. Where she delivered an inaugural speech entitled “Women in Corporate Governance: Ethical Behavior in Financial Reporting.”
Prof. Tri Mulyaningsih, the 22nd Professor at FEB and the 311th at UNS, was conferred the professorship in the field of Health Economics. Her inaugural speech carried the title “Malnutrition: Economic Losses and Policy Design to Improve Nutritional Status among Children and Adolescents.”
Prof. Suryanto, the 23rd Professor at FEB and the 312th at UNS, was inaugurated in the field of Environmental Economics. His inaugural lecture was titled “Environmental Justice from a Development Economics Perspective.”
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr., M.Si., Rector of UNS, expressed his highest appreciation for the dedication, perseverance, and scholarly commitment demonstrated by the newly appointed professors in attaining the highest academic rank in the university system. He highlights the institution’s hope that the professors will continue to advance their respective fields through the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service.
“The title of Professor entails a profound responsibility to continuously contribute to the progress of science, education, and national development. Professors also bear a moral obligation to actively contribute, participate, and produce scholarly work that benefits both the university and society,” stated Prof. Hartono.
