HMJA Goes to School 2025: Introducing the Accounting Study Program FEB UNS
The Student Association for Accounting Study Program (HMJA), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), successfully implemented the inaugural HMJA Goes to School (HGTS) 2025 program on Monday, 24 November 2025. This new initiative of the Public Relations Department of the HMJA FEB UNS serves as a form of student contribution in introducing the Accounting Study Program of FEB UNS to Grade 12 senior high school students who are preparing to determine their future academic pathways toward higher education.
The 2025 HGTS program marked HMJA’s first visit to SMA Regina Pacis Surakarta (Ursulin) as an initial step in expanding outreach and academic socialization of the Accounting Study Program to senior high schools. HGTS was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of academic life in the Accounting Study Program at FEB UNS, covering both the regular and international classes, including curriculum structure, learning experiences, student achievements, and graduate career prospects.
The event was opened by the masters of ceremony, Abdul Kayyis Abrar and Dewi Asiyah, followed with a video profile of Accounting Study Program FEB UNS showcasing learning facilities, the academic environment, and various student accomplishments.
The main session was delivered by Muhammad Haidar Ashif and Loris Oktaviano, who explained the academic content studied in Accounting Study Program, differences between the regular and international classes, language of instruction, academic opportunities, and graduate career prospects. Both speakers also highlighted student achievements and the professional career opportunity of Accounting FEB UNS alumni who are currently employed in major companies.
The question-and-answer session proceeded actively, with strong enthusiasm from the students. The organizing committee provided rewards to participants who actively asked questions as a form of appreciation. The atmosphere became increasingly lively through a fun game session titled “Bawakan Aku (Bring to me),” which generated laughter and engagement among participants. Winners of the game received attractive prizes from the committee.
The activity concluded with a photo session involving the HMJA committee and students of SMA Regina Pacis. HMJA FEB UNS expressed appreciation for the warm reception and positive collaboration from the school. This program is expected to serve as a sustainable initial step in introducing the Accounting Study Program of FEB UNS and in supporting students to make well-informed and confident academic decisions.
As a form of student contribution to education and career literacy, the HGTS program aligns with FEB UNS’s commitment to supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
