Through this introduction, Prof. Huang said that currently, I-Shou University has around 40,000 students and 20,000 students at National Cheng Kung University.

“This is my first time visiting UNS. We at I-Shou University have received many students from Indonesia. It is recorded that there are more than 250 Indonesian students at I-Shou University. In addition, we also welcome many students from Europe and from the Central Asian Region. This is why we have a high diversity of students and we are very happy to share this experience with UNS,” explained Prof. Huang.

The partnership discussion between FEB UNS and the two universities from Taiwan was led by Dr. Retno Tanding Suryandari, Head of MM FEB UNS Study Program.

The discussion began with information from I-Shou University regarding the programs available and appropriate for the development of international cooperation. Further, the session continues with the potential for collaboration based on the international partnership experience that has been applied by I-Shou University and National Cheng Kung University. I-Shou University has two types of programs, namely domestic programs, which are delivered in Mandarin, and international programs, where the lecture is delivered in English.

“As it has been delivered by Prof. Huang, at I-Shou University there is an international business program that is suitable for further collaboration discussion with UNS. International programs are more suitable for the international partnership process, due to language barriers in domestic programs,” explained Dr. Retno concluded the explanation from the I-Shou University delegation.

The discussion process went amiably. The session also discussed the collaboration potential for teaching, community service, and research activities, as well as the possibility of mentoring from I-Shou University related to AACSB accreditation. “Thank you for visiting FEB UNS. This current discussion is very useful for FEB UNS. We hope that in the future we can work together through this collaboration,” concluded Prof. Djoko.
