FEB UNS Holds Coordination Meeting for Strategic Plan Formulation

Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), holds a Coordination Meeting for the Formulation of the Faculty’s Strategic Plan (Renstra) on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, at the Dean Meeting Room, Soeharno TS Building. The meeting was attended by the Dean’s Office, Heads of Study Programs, Head of the Administration Office, and the Planning Team.

Sutaryo, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA., CRA., CRP., ACPA., Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs, explained that the objective of the meeting is to align perspectives among all faculty leaders in formulating policy directions for the next five years and to ensure that the Strategic Plan remains consistent with university policies and current higher education challenges.

He emphasized that the formulation of the Strategic Plan is a strategic responsibility of the faculty to guide institutional development in a structured and measurable manner. According to him, the process requires collective input and shared understanding. “The Strategic Plan is not developed individually, but collaboratively, to ensure its comprehensiveness. Today’s meeting serves as a discussion forum with the Dean’s Office before the draft is submitted to the Faculty Senate for final approval,” he stated.

Dr. Sutaryo further noted that the Strategic Plan formulation should not only focus on quantitative targets but also uphold the faculty’s mission and vision to ensure alignment with the university’s strategic direction. “The figures in the Strategic Plan are based on historical data processed objectively. However, what matters most is translating the faculty’s vision and mission into concrete, efficient, and sustainable strategies,” he added.

This coordination meeting also marked the initial stage before the discussion of the Strategic Plan in the Faculty Senate Meeting. Through this forum, all stakeholders are encouraged to provide constructive input, thus, FEB UNS Strategic Plan becomes a comprehensive document guiding the faculty’s development to remain adaptive, competitive, and responsive to the dynamics of modern economics and business education.

The formulation of the Strategic Plan is also closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), as part of FEB UNS’s continuous effort to strengthen institutional governance and academic excellence.
