Welcome FEB UNS New Students

UNS, BISA, BISA, BISA!

FEB, JAYA, JAYA, JAYA!

The enthusiastic cheering was echoed by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Prof. Drs. Djoko Suhardjanto, M.Com(Hons)., PhD., Ak., in front of all FEB new students at the FEB UNS Introduction to New Student Campus Life (PKKMB) event. The Dean also invites students to cheer.

The faculty’s new students were welcomed by the Dean, Vice Dean, Head of Study Programs, Coordinator, and Sub-coordinators in FEB UNS, on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in front of the Djarwanto PS Building.

Prof. Djoko congratulated all new students who looked cheerful in the morning and could be admitted to the FEB UNS area, a faculty that had many achievements. “Alhamdulillah, today, there are cheerful faces, happy faces because you have gone through various stages of tests that can finally be admitted in this faculty,” he said, opening his speech.

In front of more than 600 students, the Dean explained the achievements that have been achieved by FEB. Further, Prof. Djoko introduced several buildings in FEB, named after the Dean of FEB’s founding figures: Djarwanto PS Building, a building for teaching and learning activity; Soeharno TS Building, a building for the leadership ranks, administrative, and other units; Suhardi Building with a large capacity for various activities; Soedarah Soepono Building and Bachtiar Effendi Building for FEB UNS postgraduate programs. In addition, various other facilities were also introduced.

“Once again, congratulations, you can study at the prestigious FEB UNS. I hope you graduate on time. In addition to studying, you must also be involved in various organizational activities well. Thus, you are not only participating in lectures, but you have to hone your soft skills, which serve as a practice for communication skills, to train your leadership skills, and also for networking. If you are only smart without good soft skills, you will experience obstacles,” he stressed.

Prof. Joko also advised students to consider FEB as their “condrodimuko” crater (a training ground), and hopefully, after graduation, the students will become notable leaders for the nation and state. Marking the opening of PKKMB FEB, the Dean, accompanied by the leadership ranks at FEB UNS, beat gongs and also set free a number of pigeons.

“By saying bismillahirromanirrohim, the PKKMB FEB UNS event was officially started,” said Prof. Djoko, opening the event.

The PKKMB activities will last for 3 (three) days. On the first day, the new students participated in various activities at the University level, and on the following two days, students will engage in activities at the faculty, study program, and student association level.
