The diverse nature of healthcare services, characterized with multiple sources of revenue, including medical consultations, clinical procedures, laboratory services, and partnerships with Indonesia&#8217;s national health insurance agency (BPJS Kesehatan), requires a comprehensive understanding of taxation. At the same time, the implementation of the Coretax Administration System by the Directorate General of Taxes has introduced substantial changes to tax administration by emphasizing data integration, reporting accuracy, and the digitalization of tax processes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/feb.uns.ac.id\/feb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Foto-3.jpg-1-rotated.jpeg\" width=\"241\" height=\"321\" \/>In response to these challenges, the Taxation and Corporate Reporting Research Group at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), organized a Community Service program titled \u201c<em>Supporting Coretax Implementation to Strengthen Tax Compliance Among Healthcare Professionals<\/em>.\u201d Held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Amal Sehat Primary Clinic in Kartasura, Sukoharjo, the program was attended by 30 participants, including healthcare professionals, clinic managers, and administrative staff responsible for financial management and tax administration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Community Service team was led by Prof. Dr. Eko Arief Sudaryono, M.Si., Ak., with team members Lulus Kurniasih, S.E., M.S.Ak., Ph.D.; Dr. Arum Kusumaningdyah Adiati, S.E., M.M.; Sulardi, S.E., M.Si., Ak.; Agus Widodo, S.E., M.Si., Ak.; Prof. Dr. Bambang Sutopo, M.Com., Ak.; and Estetika Mutiaranisa Kurniawati, S.E., M.Acc. The program also featured Juliati, S.E., M.A., Ak., as the guest speaker, who delivered a session on the implementation of the Coretax system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Through this Community Service initiative, participants gained insights into the latest tax policies, the key features of the Coretax Administration System, tax administration practices in the healthcare sector, and simulations of Coretax implementation based on transaction types commonly encountered in clinical operations. In addition to the presentations, participants had the opportunity to engage in discussions about tax-related issues they face in their daily operations.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/feb.uns.ac.id\/feb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Foto-1.jpg-1-768x1024.jpeg\" width=\"236\" height=\"314\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In his opening remarks, Prof. Eko Arief Sudaryono, Head of the Community Service team, explained that the transformation of tax administration through Coretax represents a strategic government initiative to establish a more modern, transparent, and integrated tax system. Consequently, healthcare professionals, as taxpayers, play an important role in supporting tax reform by strengthening their understanding of and compliance with applicable tax regulations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cCoretax implementation is not merely a change in software, but also a transformation in the way tax administration is managed. Through this program, we hope healthcare professionals will gain a better understanding of their tax obligations and be able to manage tax administration in an orderly, accurate, and compliant manner. Tax compliance is an essential element of good organizational governance and a meaningful contribution to supporting national development,\u201d said Prof. Eko.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Meanwhile, dr. Istiqomah, Head of Amal Sehat Primary Clinic, expressed her appreciation to the Taxation and Corporate Reporting Research Group at FEB UNS for organizing a program that addressed the needs of healthcare providers during the ongoing transformation of Indonesia&#8217;s national tax administration system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/feb.uns.ac.id\/feb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Foto.jpg-768x576.jpeg\" width=\"315\" height=\"236\" \/>\u201cCoretax implementation presents a new challenge for us as clinic managers. This program has provided a clearer understanding of tax administration while improving our readiness to adapt our tax recording and reporting processes. We hope our collaboration with FEB UNS will continue through further assistance so that Coretax implementation can be carried out effectively,\u201d she remarked.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Through its educational and participatory approach, the Community Service program is expected to improve digital tax literacy among healthcare professionals, strengthen tax compliance, and promote more transparent and accountable administrative governance within healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The program also reflects the commitment of the Taxation and Corporate Reporting Research Group at FEB UNS to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by strengthening tax compliance, administrative transparency, and sound institutional governance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The complexity of tax administration in the healthcare sector presents significant challenges for healthcare professionals and clinic administrators.
