Prof. Tri Mulyaningsih, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Research Affairs, in her remarks, highlighted the national and international accreditations achieved by FEB UNS, including \u201cUnggul<\/em> (Superior)\u201d accreditation from LAMEMBA and international accreditation from AQAS. She also noted that FEB UNS is in the process of pursuing accreditation from the world\u2019s prestigious body, AACSB.<\/p>\nShe further explained the technical aspects of the lectures, which will begin on 25 August 2025, and emphasized the requirement of at least 75% attendance as a prerequisite for participating in evaluations. Students were reminded to promptly access the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) to complete their course registration (KRS) and ensure validation by their academic advisor. Regarding the curriculum, FEB UNS has adopted the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach. Unlike the previous system, which focused mainly on midterm and final exams, assessments now include case studies, projects, or other methods aligned with course learning outcomes. The learning process spans 16 meetings, with a minimum of two assessments.<\/p>\n
Dr. Sutaryo, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA., CRA., CRP., ACPA, Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs, expressed his appreciation for the achievements of the new students admitted through the collaboration with BPKP. He encouraged students to take full advantage of this opportunity, both academically and in personal development.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Head of the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program, Prof. Doddy Setiawan, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., explained that the study program offers an academic incentive in the form of exemption from the thesis examination for students who successfully publish their scientific work in reputable journals, at least SINTA 2. However, students are still required to write a thesis as part of their academic process. He also explained that from the second semester, students will begin taking Research Methodology courses and start engaging in discussions with lecturers. By the third semester, they may choose a supervisor to guide them in preparing their thesis proposal.<\/p>\n
Prof. Doddy emphasized the importance of completing the program on time and making optimal use of the two-year study period. He noted that FEB UNS is currently ranked within the top 300\u2013400 in the world for the field of accounting, supported by eight professors actively involved in teaching and student supervision.<\/p>\n

As part of the orientation process, the session continued with an academic lecture titled \u201cEmerging Research in Public Sector Accounting\u201d delivered by Prof. Dra. Y. Anni Aryani, M.Prof. Acc., Ph.D., Ak., CA. The lecture provided students with an initial perspective on the importance of research in accountable and transparent public sector governance.<\/p>\n
This orientation supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4<\/a> (Quality Education) through curriculum enhancement, academic mentoring by professors, and research incentives.
