The Investment Gallery of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FEB UNS) held a Sebelas Maret Investment Championship (SMIC) from Tuesday to Wednesday (3-5\/3\/2020). The SMIC that was held annually is a student championship at the national level.<\/p>\n

In this 2020, the SMIC brings the theme \u201cLive for Invest, Achieve Great Future\u201d. This theme implies that by investing we can achieve a bright future. Investment can be made at an early time and one does not need to have a job first.<\/p>\n

Nasyi\u2019ah Hasanah Purnomowati S.E., M.Sc, Ak., delivering an opening remark<\/p><\/div>\n

The Head of Capital Market Laboratory FEB UNS, Nasyi\u2019ah Hasanah Purnomowati S.E., M.Sc, Ak, in her remark during the Gala Dinner, Friday night (6\/3\/2020) mentioned that SMIC is one of the series of event in the Sebelas Maret Investment Festival (SMARVEST). Other activities within this series are Fieldtrip, Gala Dinner, and Investalk as the peak of the SMARVEST that will be held on April 11th<\/sup>, 2020.<\/p>\n

The championship that was followed by 85 teams from various universities all across Indonesia aims to improve the students\u2019 insight on Capital Market, especially the insight on shares. From the total of 85 teams that follow the Online trading Competition stage, there were 13 teams that were eligible to join further stage namely the Paper Analysis Post Test, Fast Challenge, Study Test, and Presentations.<\/p>\n

Dr. Izza Mafruhah appreciates the spirit of the Teams in SMIC<\/p><\/div>\n

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Izza Mafruhah, M.Si, who attended the event representing the FEB UNS Dean, in her remark appreciates the 13 finalists that have successfully eliminate other participants. Further, she explained that Indonesia now until 2040 will face a dividend demographic bonus, where the number of the young generation is the highest. \u201cIf the young generation has a high investment spirit as you are, I believe that the demographic bonus can be utilized optimally,\u201d she stressed.<\/p>\n

The national objective to become one of the Asian Tigers can be achieved. Especially because Indonesia is not a developing country but a developed country, thus the role of the young generation is important.<\/p>\n

Dr. Izza also motivates the 13 finalists who attended the Gala Dinner. For the winner and those who happened to be less fortunate, they are expected to continue to move with enthusiasm, for the next year there is still an opportunity to participate in the same championship.<\/p>\n

The trophy for the best 4 teams in SMIC 2020 is delivered during the Gala Dinner by Dr. Izza and Nasyi\u2019ah, M.Si.<\/p>\n

The first winner is achieved by LEVIOS, a team from Universitas Negeri Semarang (team members are Hery Kharisma Fitri &Latifah Putri Hening Hati), second winner is from Universitas Sebelas Maret team SAWADIKAP (team members are Muhammad Ryan Ilyasa & Widhy Setyo Nugroho), whose members is from the Undergraduate Program in Management FEB UNS. The last or third winner is achieved by PROFIT ALERT team from Universitas Indonesia (UI) with team members I Gede Angga Raditya Prasdha Wibawa & Hendra Rusly, while for Best Paper award is awarded to NSL SQUAD team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta with team members of Anggung Gigih Mutawadhi & Annisa Khoirul Amanati.
